The Kennebec River Gorge is one of the most beautiful in the East with steep rock walls on both sides, and with many waves that are four to six feet high. Paddle into rapids with names like Big Mama, White Washer, and the infamous Magic Falls. Then, with the rapids behind us, jump in and float with the current while you feel the power of the river, taking you downstream.
After your raft trip, enjoy a delicious meal of rice pilaf, strip steak, cole slaw, roll, lemonade and homemade dessert (fish, chicken or veggie meal is available on request) followed by a slide and video show of your trip.
Four times each year the power company tests the turbines of Harris Station. The waterflow is wide open to 8,000 cfs-a truly special, thrilling ride almost twice the usual waterflow. These 2010 Kennebec High Water releases are scheduled for June 19, July 5, September 11 and September 25.
Rates from $60-$110 per person

A sport boat is a 13-foot long raft, the smallest the State of Maine allows on the Kennebec River. These rafts are very responsive especially on lower water flows, so we can surf and play in the smaller rapids. We were the first company to offer this kind of trip.
Add $10.00 per person to price of regular trip.
